Welcome to the Kennedale ISD 2023 Bond Program website. On May 6, 2023, the voters of Kennedale ISD (KISD) approved three propositions for broad sweeping improvements to KISD schools. The $98,605,000 program will address capacity challenges and provide programmatic enhancements across the District while also addressing much needed capital improvements to our aging schools. This website has been designed to provide the community with regular updates of the program’s progress. Check back regularly for updates!
Current Headlines
Roofing Project Wrapping Up
The bond program included roofing upgrades to Kennedale High School, Kennedale Junior High School, JAA Early Childhood Center and RF Patterson Elementary School. The projects have been completed, and the overall project is under budget. The engineer is working with the roofing contractor to finalize project close-out.
HVAC & Lighting Projects Wrapping Up
The bond program included replacement of a majority of HVAC units District wide at every campus and support facilities as well as upgrades to LED interior lighting. The LED lighting upgrades have been completed Districtwide, and the HVAC unit replacements will be completed this summer. Overall these projects are under budget and a big success.
District Wide Summer Additions & Renovations
Construction is well underway Districtwide. There are four (4) campuses currently under construction. KISD High School, KISD Junior High School, Delaney Elementary School, and Patterson Elementary School. Contractors are progressing well to complete the required renovation work and allow for school activities to resume in August. Work on the additions at the High School, Junior High, and Patterson will continue into the fall and are projected to be completed during the spring semester.
