Welcome to the Kennedale ISD 2023 Bond Program website. On May 6, 2023, the voters of Kennedale ISD (KISD) approved three propositions for broad sweeping improvements to KISD schools. The $98,605,000 program will address capacity challenges and provide programmatic enhancements across the District while also addressing much needed capital improvements to our aging schools. This website has been designed to provide the community with regular updates of the program’s progress. Check back regularly for updates!

Bond Project Savings
Paying Off
Once all major projects were completed in the KISD 2023 bond program, the district was left with a savings of almost $8M. These savings have allowed the district to consider other capital improvements priorities. Projects include new security fencing at all district campuses, additional roofing repairs & upgrades, and safety and security upgrades, including access controls and security cameras. Additional projects are under review for priority consideration.
Completion of Kennedale Junior High School Provides Innovated Spaces
The addition to Kennedale Junior High School expanded the capacity of the campus to address a growing student population. However, it also provides innovative spaces to support ongoing enhancements to programs and curriculum.
The new addition includes state-of-the-art science labs. It also offers a STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Math) lab. It also offers multi-purpose classrooms to support an ever-changing Career and Technology curriculum.
Finally, the addition was constructed to serve as a storm shelter to protect the entire campus enrollment in the event of severe weather events.
District Wide Summer Additions & Renovations Completed
Interior renovations have been completed at Kennedale Junior High School and Patterson Elementary School. Contractors brought in the necessary resources to convert spaces that were previously dated science labs at KJHS to traditional classrooms. At Patterson, the old library space was converted to instructional space.
The projects were completed and prepped in time for students to return for the fall semester.
